Stephanie premieres at The Overlook Film Festival

Torv’s latest film, Stephanie, made its debut at The Overlook Film Festival in Oregon this evening. Despite cast and crew missing in attendance, the screening did feature director Akiva Goldsman and producer Jason Blum leading up a Q&A session after the film.

Much is still unknown regarding the final product, but in a review posted to IndieWire, Eric Kohl digs a little deeper into the plot of the film and Shree Crooks’ performance. And while no mention has been made yet to the delivery of Anna’s role, Torv’s character is finally given a name: Jane.

“STEPHANIE is an unnerving example of what happens when our love for our children is used as a weapon against us” – Kalyn Corrigan, Bloody-Disgusting

“Unpredictable, emotionally charged, and with great performances, STEPHANIE is a strong start for The Overlook Film Festival” – Daily Dead

Plans for release have not been disclosed, however Universal is set to release the film later this year.
